gyrofield releases debut album Great Jobs
gyrofield announces their debut album Great Jobs, out on 21 October. The record arrives on the newly created Field Research label and features the title single.
Hong Kong‑born, Netherlands‑based artist gyrofield (Kiana Li) announced their debut album Great Jobs, slated for release on 21 October via the newly launched Field Research label. The record comprises ten tracks drawing from dub, post‑industrial and post‑punk influences, and features the lead single, the title track Great Jobs (Don't Wanna).
In a press statement Li said the album explores queer identity, empathy and the state of the world, describing feelings of confusion, loss and a drive toward resistance and liberation. They also referenced the May‑released Your Flight EP, the first Field Research output, and past releases on Objekt, FABRICLIVE, XL Recordings and Metalheadz.
