Brian Eno revives Opal Records
The legendary producer revives his Opal Records imprint with two reissues and earmarks a share of sales for EarthPercent.
Brian Eno is reviving his cult ambient imprint Opal Records, originally founded in 1988, with two reissues: the 2005 album Another Day on Earth and the 2002 collaborative record Drawn From Life with J. Peter Schwalm. Both titles, previously unavailable outside Japan, will be pressed on 16 October, and one percent of sales will support his EarthPercent sustainability project.
To mark the occasion Eno released live videos of 'Caught Between' from the 2001 Porto Festival performance on 16 June and 'Persis' from Drawn From Life recorded at Fuji Rock on 29 July 2001.
