Skrillex and Chase & Status surprise with ‘Essa Ta Quente’
Skrillex and Chase & Status drop the single ‘Essa Ta Quente’, previewed at Boomtown 2026 and featured on the upcoming album ‘Generic Everything’.
Skrillex and the British duo Chase & Status dropped the surprise single ‘Essa Ta Quente’ today. The track debuted in an unreleased form during their joint set at Boomtown 2026 last month, where Flowdan also made an unexpected appearance. The song draws on Brazilian rap and baile funk influences.
The track appears on Chase & Status’ forthcoming album ‘Generic Everything’, scheduled for release on 9 October. The record also features J Hus, Little Simz and additional contributors. Earlier in June, the duo performed a virtual DJ set inside the James Bond game 007: First Light for fans worldwide.
