Five nights a week at the marina, 23:30 to 06:30. Defected Thursdays bring Carl Craig on the 10th and the 24th, Claptone hosts Pete Tong on the 19th and Inner City on the 26th, and Bedouin Sundays run Monolink and Lee Burridge. Closings fall between 4 and 10 October.

September is not the month Ibiza turns the volume down: it is the month the island keeps only the people who came to dance. Chinois, down at the marina, has laid out its full programme — five weekly residencies, 23:30 to 06:30, running to the October closings.

Thursdays belong to Defected: the 3rd, Eats Everything and Eliza Rose; the 10th, Bradley Zero with Carl Craig; the 17th, Darius Syrossian, Deetron and Lil Louis; the 24th, Carl Craig again alongside Dunmore Brothers, Eats Everything and Jordan Peak. Detroit twice in one month, in a room built to human scale.

Saturdays are Claptone and The Masquerade: Elderbrook on the 5th, Hannah Wants b2b Paul Woolford with Chus & Ceballos on the 12th, Pete Tong on the 19th and Inner City on the 26th. Bedouin’s Sundays — SAGA — open with Bontan b2b Liva K and Romare on the 6th, then Jan Blomqvist live on the 13th, Monolink on the 20th and Lee Burridge with Saraga on the 27th.

Fridays go to Major League DJz and their Echoes of Tomorrow, with Mahmut Orhan on the 11th and Andrea Oliva on the 25th; Mondays to La Troya, with Gok Wan and Davina Moss, Ben Westbeech, Hannah Wants with Jodie Harsh and Harry Romero. Then come the closings, one per residency, between 4 and 10 October. After that the island goes quiet, which is when it sounds best.
