Madonna and Charli XCX released today the track “Danceteria Afterhours” on Warner Records. Produced by Madonna with Andrew Watt, Cirkut and Stuart Price, the song expands the story of the single “Danceteria” from the No. 1 album ‘Confessions II’. In the preview Madonna recited “Everyone here is a work of art”.
The release is paired with a three‑track CD featuring the Afterhours mix, a Harry Romero remix and the original version. Fans can pre‑order limited‑edition copies and buy new merchandise. The collaboration follows the CLUB CONFESSIONS party with Saint Laurent during Paris Fashion Week.
The drop aligns with Madonna’s preparation to open the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, her first performance in 23 years and the show that gives her a career‑high 13 nominations. Rumors suggest Charli XCX might join her on stage, though neither artist has confirmed the appearance.
