John Talabot releases 'Music For Empty Stadiums' as OR
Catalan producer John Talabot announces his new album under the OR alias. The 17‑track LP arrives on 30 October via AD 93.
John Talabot, using the OR alias (derived from his real name Oriol Riverola), has unveiled his upcoming album 'Music For Empty Stadiums'. The 17‑track record will be released by AD 93 on 30 October, marking his first solo full‑length in over a decade after projects like Mioclono and drames rurales.
Much of the music was recorded during COVID‑19 lockdowns, as the Catalan producer sought a club‑free direction without turning fully ambient. In a 2023 interview, Talabot said the loss of body‑to‑body energy drove him to imagine the most euphoric form of ambient, and AD 93 head Nic Tasker agreed to issue the album.
