Anyma breaks silence after Istanbul show cancellation
Italian producer Anyma answered the Istanbul show cancellation over alleged satanic references. He posted a four‑slide statement defending his ÆDEN visual universe.
Anyma, the Italian artist behind the ÆDEN project, had his concert scheduled for September 12 at Istanbul’s Ataköy Marina Arena cancelled. The move came from the city’s Governor’s Office after social media posts suggested the show featured satanic ritual imagery.
Reports indicate the ban was enacted after local activists posted clips of the performance, claiming controversial religious content. The municipal authority withdrew the permit without giving the promoter or Anyma any prior warning or chance for discussion.
In reply, Anyma posted a four‑slide statement on Instagram. He stressed that the show depicts a battle of light and darkness without any intent to disrespect any faith.
The producer also accused outsiders of altering his visuals with AI to fabricate a sinister narrative. He rejected the false religious and political meanings assigned to the show.
Anyma finished by thanking fans who bought tickets and said he will appeal the decision. He expressed willingness to meet Turkish authorities to clarify the project and hopes to return to Istanbul to finish the story of the show.
