Insomniac and ADE announce Map Point Summit, rave culture conference in Las Vegas
Insomniac and ADE launch Map Point Summit, a three-day conference in Las Vegas in May 2027, between EDC weekends. The event aims to strengthen the independent rave culture ecosystem.
Insomniac and Amsterdam Dance Event announce Map Point Summit, a three-day conference set to take place at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas between the EDC Las Vegas 2027 weekends, specifically May 14-16 and May 21-23. The summit debuts in May 2027 and stems from a partnership between Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella and ADE, aiming to create a gathering place for the electronic music and rave culture industry.
The summit's name references the 'map points' of underground rave culture, where attendees would meet at a designated location before receiving directions to the party itself. The launch was announced during Rotella's keynote at ADE's 30th edition, where he argued that rave culture needs a stronger, more independent business ecosystem to survive long-term and support independent promoters.
"Rave culture was built by ravers, for ravers. It started as a grassroots, community-driven movement with its own values, spirit and way of doing things," said Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac, during his keynote at ADE. Rotella stressed the need to share knowledge, create opportunities for the next generation, and maintain the rave movement's independence as it grows.
Map Point Summit will combine ADE's industry education experience with Insomniac's roots in live events. The programme will include industry conversations, educational sessions, creative workshops and networking, alongside discussions on how community-driven events can keep their identity and independence as the scene grows. Speakers and ticket information will be announced in the coming months.
