ADE Lab opens its free half to the public
ADE Lab splits into two programmes and the free Discovery edition lets anyone test gear in the Gear Test Lab. The paid side continues with its producer and artist academy.
ADE Lab has split its offering for 2026, creating ADE Lab Discovery, a free programme running from 21 to 23 October at Lab Village in Westerpark. The event opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00, requiring no tickets or applications, giving unrestricted access to anyone attending ADE week.
The Gear Test Lab, located at Het Ketelhuis, is part of Discovery and lets visitors try DJ gear, instruments and production tools from a range of brands. Alongside the lab there are product demos, showcases and a Get Into strand aimed at people with no prior knowledge, while Radio Radio hosts listening sessions with local artists and collectives.
ADE Lab On Track, the paid side, continues with its three‑day academy split into a Producer Track and a Performing Artist Track, featuring masterclasses, mentoring and studio sessions. Applications closed on 18 September and the speaker roster includes Adam Beyer, Kevin Saunderson, Moodymann, DJ Bone, Nene H, Sammy Virji, Jyoty, Grace Dahl and LYZZA.
