New photobook documents East London’s queer club scene from 2005 to 2015
Ralf Obergfell releases a limited, signed photobook homaging East London's queer scene between 2005 and 2015.
Ralf Obergfell, co-creator of GutterSlut, presents The East London Years: A Homage to Noughties Glamour and Trash, a limited edition of 350 numbered and signed copies. The work documents East London's queer scene between 2005 and 2015, including parties like Trailer Trash, Gay Bingo and the first Horse Meat Disco at Glastonbury's NYC Downlow, plus events at Between Bridges and The Pale Blue Door supper club.
Obergfell includes first-hand accounts and contributions from Jonny Woo, Tony Hornecker, Ben Walters and Gilbert & George, creating a homage to the protagonists who laid the foundations for current clubbing culture.
