Sean Parker backs Stability AI with all three major labels
Napster co‑founder Sean Parker leads a $76 million funding round for Stability AI, joined by Sony, Universal and Warner.
Sean Parker, Napster co‑founder, has become a key investor in Stability AI. On August 25, the $76 million Series B round included Sony Music Group, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group, alongside Coatue, Greycroft and Eric Schmidt, turning the three major labels into shareholders.
The strategic alliance between Universal and Stability was signed in October 2025, followed by Warner in November, both focusing on responsibly trained AI tools. Stability AI released Stable Audio 3.0 in May, capable of generating stereo audio up to 6 minutes 20 seconds and offering inpainting for producers, accessible via a plugin or at StableAudio.com.
