An app for logging every set you have seen
It is called Seen Live and it works like a diary of nights out: log the club or the festival, rate it, upload the photos buried in your camera roll and see what your friends have been to. Jordan Taylor, of Tough Luck, built it for a very simple reason: he could not remember.
The idea is old and did not exist: somewhere to log the gigs and the sets you have actually been to. Seen Live does exactly that — log the event, rate it, upload photos and videos, follow people and find artists through what somebody standing in front of the booth had to say.
Behind it is Jordan Taylor, who has been documenting club culture at Tough Luck since 2020. His explanation has nothing corporate about it: he built it because after a while he could not remember half the artists and DJs he had seen live, and the photos and videos from those nights were buried somewhere in his camera roll with no context.
It happens to anyone who goes out with any regularity. A whole year of parties fits inside a phone and none of it stays in order: not the name of whoever played at five, not the room, not the sequence of it.
For now it is on iPhone and iPad only.
