'Better Living Through Chemistry' turns 30 and comes back in full
Fatboy Slim's debut came out on 23 September 1996. The anniversary lands in two steps: digital on 25 September, double vinyl and double CD on 2 October, with B-sides, rarities and new remixes.
Norman Cook launched the Fatboy Slim alias with this record on 23 September 1996. Thirty years later the album comes back whole: digital first, on 25 September, and physical a week later.
On 2 October come the double vinyl, remastered at half speed, and the double CD, which adds a full disc of B-sides and rare material plus a new Sem Jacobs remix. The digital edition throws in two more, from Chinonegro and Ammo Avenue.
Inside is still the big beat that started it all: 'Everybody Needs A 303', 'Santa Cruz', 'Going Out Of My Head'. Two years later came 'You've Come A Long Way, Baby' and the name went huge, but the formula was already here.
