Michael Bibi and KETTAMA release ‘MYSTERY OF RAW’ with Wu-Tang Clan
The most-chased ID in the underground is finally official: out on CircoLoco Records, built on Da Mystery of Chessboxin’, with U-God and Inspectah Deck’s verses and Wu-Tang’s own blessing.
The story starts in 2018: KETTAMA sends an early version to Michael Bibi, Bibi plays it out, and the track becomes one of those IDs people chase around clubs for years without knowing its name.
In 2024 Bibi rebuilt the whole idea together with KETTAMA. Out of that came ‘MYSTERY OF RAW’, which then had to wait for the sample clearance before it could exist officially.
Underneath is Da Mystery of Chessboxin’, produced by RZA, with verses from U-God and Inspectah Deck. Wu-Tang did not just sign the clearance: they got behind the collaboration.
It lands on CircoLoco Records, the label born from the partnership between CircoLoco and Rockstar Games. For Bibi it is another chapter after returning to the stage following his recovery from lymphoma; for KETTAMA, from Galway, the confirmation of a big year.
