Bonnaroo leaves 2027 blank so The Farm can recover
After two editions hit by storms, the festival is taking a year out. New drainage, 4.5 miles of roads and 135 acres of grass still could not give the grounds enough recovery time between seasons.
Bonnaroo will not take place in 2027. The Manchester, Tennessee festival is giving The Farm a rest after two consecutive storm-hit years and another spell of heavy rain on the final Sunday of the 2026 edition.
Ahead of that edition it had already invested in drainage, 4.5 miles of new roads and 135 acres of grass. The work made the site more resilient, but it could not manufacture extra months between one summer and the next.
The break does not yet come with a return date. Organisers have only described a necessary year for the grounds, especially the main venue, to rest and recover.
Festivals usually change artists, stages and set times. Here the ground rewrote the bill: in 2027 there will be no names because the floor has to come back first.
