They describe noise, rubbish, people urinating in public and groups walking into the road while visibly drunk. The area already carries lorries, ferry traffic and cruise passengers; adding a mass exit at that hour turns the end of the party into a traffic and neighbourhood problem.
The complaint is addressed to the Port Authority and Eivissa city council. It is not asking to switch off the island at night: it is asking for a tourist business not to unload its consequences, literally, outside people’s homes.
Ibiza has always known how to mix nightlife with everyday life. When one takes all the space, the mix stops working.
